A supportive online group for women wanting to understand unhealthy relationships, recognise abuse, and build safety, confidence, and hope.
Experiencing abuse or questioning whether a relationship is healthy can feel confusing, isolating, and overwhelming. Many women find themselves doubting their instincts, blaming themselves, or feeling unsure about what to do next.
The Keeping Women Safe Group provides a compassionate, non-judgmental space where women can learn about the dynamics of abuse, recognise warning signs, strengthen their sense of self, and develop practical strategies for staying safe.
Format: Online via Zoom
Frequency: Every 4 weeks
Length: 2 hours
Group Type: Open group (attend any session that interests you)
Facilitators: Counselling students under professional supervision
First Session: 18 August 2026 from 10am-12pm
This group is for any woman who wants to learn how to stay safe.
Whether you are currently in a difficult relationship, have recently left one, or are rebuilding after past experiences, you are welcome here.
**No children under the age of 18 are to attend adult events.

Each month focuses on a different topic related to women's safety, healthy relationships, and recovery.
This is a psychoeducational and supportive group that combines:
· Information about relationship safety and abuse dynamics
· Guided discussions and shared learning
· Practical tools and strategies you can apply in everyday life
· Gentle reflective exercises and worksheets
· Opportunities to connect with other women who understand
You are always welcome to participate at your own pace. Sharing personal experiences is entirely optional.
· Are questioning whether their relationship is healthy
· Have experienced emotional, psychological, financial, or other forms of abuse
· Feel confused, isolated, or are doubting themselves within a relationship
· Want to better understand relationship dynamics and warning signs
· Are preparing to leave, have recently left, or are recovering from an abusive relationship
· Want to rebuild confidence, boundaries, and self-trust
· Would like support from other women in a safe and understanding environment
We understand that discussions around abuse and relationship safety can bring up difficult emotions. Facilitators create a respectful and trauma-informed environment where women are encouraged to care for themselves and participate in ways that feel comfortable and safe.
If you are currently in immediate danger, this group is not designed as a crisis service. We encourage you to contact emergency services or a family violence support service if you need urgent assistance.
