This is how Jane felt.
Jane can read minds. She is also the nerd no-one wants to be around or wants to talk to, not even her alcoholic hoarding mother. Jane is all alone, except for her mind reading abilities. After returning home and discovering her mother had suicided, Jane decides to use her abilities to help others.
However, this turns into uncovering who is behind the kidnapping and deaths of local teenage girls and the truth about her mother.
Life isn't always what you think it is. Uncovering the truth behind the stories can open up a whole new chapter.
