About Alicia

Dr Alicia is an Australian trauma theorist, bestselling author, and workshop presenter who holds graduate certificates in counselling and psychology. She is currently completing her Graduate Diploma of Counselling to complement her trauma knowledge. Alicia made the decision to transition into a counselling career from academia due to a gap in care she noted through her own experiences with complex trauma, serious health challenges (including a hidden physical disability), neurodivergence (hyperlexia and autism), and perimenopause.
